For 10 years as Business Development Director at THIS Workspace - a 60,000 sq ft flexible workspace housing many businesses - Josh sold offices while member companies constantly asked about energy procurement for their ESG strategies. Meanwhile, brokers kept pitching the workspace, but it was so difficult to verify if they were getting competitive rates or what brokers were taking as commission. Complete opacity.
As a technical founder who built Meet George's frontend, website, and automation systems, Josh saw this as a solvable engineering problem. Why couldn't switching energy be like booking flights online? He partnered with Xiaoyi Lu, a longtime friend and engineer, to build the platform that gives power back to businesses and makes traditional energy brokers obsolete.

When Josh described the broker problem, Xiaoyi saw an obvious solution: software can do all of this. As CTO, he's architecting the backend platform and AI systems that will automate the entire process, from reading energy bills to comparing live rates from 20+ suppliers to handling the switch.
While Josh built the frontend and customer experience, Xiaoyi is building the core engine: the AI that interprets bills, the API integrations with suppliers, and the automation logic that makes brokers optional. Launching Q1 2026, with manual analysis available now as we complete development.
