Joshua spent 10 years at THIS Workspace working with SMEs. Every time energy came up, it was the same story: brokers pitched "the best rate", but no one could see what they were adding to it.
So he's building Meet George: self-service switching where you see everything. He partnered with Xiaoyi to automate the broker's workflow end to end.

Common questions
Business (or commercial) energy switching in the UK means moving a premises' gas or electricity contract to a new supplier, or to a better deal with your current one. You compare quotes, sign a contract and the new supplier takes over the meter - the supply never goes off, but there is no cooling-off period once you sign, so the terms matter.
Switching business energy
Usually not without paying. On a fixed-term contract, Ofgem says "most suppliers will not let you switch before the end of your contract" unless you pay an exit fee.
If you're out of contract or on deemed rates, you can switch at any time. Check your contract end date first.
Compare the annual cost, not the headline unit rate. Multiply the unit rate by your yearly kWh, add the standing charge for the year, then add any broker or platform fee.
A lower unit rate with a higher standing charge can cost more over a year, especially for a small site.
No. You sign the contract with the supplier you choose and they take over the supply. Your meter, wires and pipes stay the same - only the company billing you changes.
No. Ofgem says "there is no cooling-off period after you agree to your contract", and that business contracts' "terms, pricing and regulations differ from standard home energy contracts".
So read the terms before you sign: the end date, any exit fees and how the broker or platform fee is charged.
No. Ofgem says you can arrange a business contract yourself or use "an energy broker, consultant or a price comparison service".
Brokers usually build their fee into your unit rate - Ofgem's data shows fees of about 3p/kWh were typical at some suppliers in 2022-23. Meet George is a third way: self-service, with a 1p/kWh fee shown separately on every quote and no sales calls.
