You're right to ask how we make money. In an industry where energy brokers add 2-5p/kWh to your unit rate, we think you deserve to see exactly what you're paying for.
Who pays our fee?
You don't pay us directly. Your supplier collects our 1p/kWh as part of your unit rate and passes it to us each month, based on what you actually use. So it comes out of what you pay them for your energy.
Most brokers are paid through exactly the same route. Most won't put it to you this plainly.
We set this rate, not your supplier. Suppliers do set a maximum uplift a broker is allowed to add - but that ceiling isn't what shapes our fee, because 1p sits well below it. No supplier tops it up or influences it, and it doesn't move depending on who you pick. You'll see it as its own line on your quote - with the estimated total over your whole contract - before you sign anything.
The 1p/kWh applies to each fuel separately: a gas quote shows the supplier's gas rate plus 1p, and an electricity quote shows the supplier's electricity rate plus 1p. If you take both, you pay 1p on each fuel's usage. We don't inflate standing charges, add any undisclosed margin on top, or charge for quotes.
Where the money goes
Our relationships with suppliers
Here's ours, in full.
No supplier pays us more than any other
A flat 1p/kWh, whichever one you choose.
No volume bonuses or overriders
No targets, rebates or tiered commission with any supplier.
No preferred supplier
Nothing to gain from steering you, so we don't.
If any of that ever changes, you'll read it here first.
Imagine you run a shop using 25,000 kWh per year. You're currently paying 29p per kWh and it's time to compare energy suppliers.

Why is our switching fee 75% lower? Traditional energy brokers rely on sales teams, call centres, and account managers. We're building AI and automation to handle bill analysis, quote comparison, and supplier matching - so you can switch business energy yourself without expensive intermediaries.
Read about undisclosed broker commissions or use our calculator to compare energy costs at different rates.
Still deciding whether self-service is right for you? We've written an honest comparison of self-service, broker-assisted and direct-to-supplier switching - including the multi-site and half-hourly cases where a broker is still the better call.
1p/kWh. That's our fee, and you pay it. Itemised on every quote, never buried in your unit rate. You see the supplier's base price and our fee as two separate numbers - always. See the difference.
Upload your bill. George reads it, shows your true costs, and fetches live quotes. You compare. You choose. You sign. Done - in about 20 minutes, without a phone call.
No sales calls. No pressure. No one "handling it" for you. Ask George any question, get an honest answer, and switch on your timeline - not a broker's.
